Adoption Health Requirements
In order to adopt a dog from New Beginnings, adopters must meet the following adoption health requirements for their current or prior dogs (owned within last 5 years):

Dogs must be up to date on all core vaccines including Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Hepatitis/Parainfluenza

Dogs must be tested annually for Heartworm and maintained on heartworm prevention.

Dogs originating from countries where Leishmaniasis is endemic must be tested at least annually for 7 years
If age, underlying medical conditions or other circumstances prevent vaccination or use of heartworm prevention, we will request substantiation from your veterinarian as part of the application process.
